35. A Phantom and lots of Trains

I know that the title of this blog says 34 dresses but somewhere along the line I aquired another one so this is the very last post! In way I am quite happy the dress challenge is ending now because the weather getting worse is making it harder to enjoy wearing the dresses!

Had such a lovely day today; Sunny got us free tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera at the West End so it was 'so long' to college for the day and 'hello London!'
We got to London pretty early and went to have a spot of lunch in St. James's Square which was full of people in suits looking completely out of place sitting on the grass.
I wore a really nice Zara dress bought last year -such a lovely print/length/shape although it does feel a bit of a statement dress so I don't wear it as much as I would like.

The show was fantastic and afterwards we were given a backstage tour and got to see how all the sets work and how the actors disappear and appear on stage. Then, with no rush to get back we wandered around London  for a bit before getting the train home.
I've really enjoyed this challenge and the blog, who knows, I might carry on or start another but for now I just want to get up tomorrow and put on trousers and a t-shirt!
A big thank you to Colette, Sunny, Jaz, Phoebe and mum for taking pictures for me.

34. Why White?

So the dress challenge finishes tomorrow and needless to say I've not had much choice these last few days! This is why I bravely donned this lovely Topshop Summer dress for college this morning, it must be about 5 years old and probably cost around £40 but most importantly it is white which is never a good idea in an art college! Especially as I was using lots of blck ink.

The dress definitely did not suit the weather today! I had to wear my black trousers and gorgeous blue Dr Martens. It really is the end of Summer when to DMs come out. I also had on a pink Primark shirt and earrings from Sweden.
I spent most of the day drilling through tooth picks, yes that's right, I was literally drilling tiny holes in toothpicks! Doesn' my life sound productive?

Met up with Jaz after college and went for a Starbucks and actually bought a frappucino at an outrageous price because I received some pocket money from Grandma so felt I could treat myself. We did take some pictures there but they turn out not to be on the camera. I hate technology some times!

33. Floaty and Flowers

This dress is from Asos and it was in the sale for £16. I do love it but I must admit that I feel silly in it not least because people stare at me.
We went to the garden center with grandma for lunch today, it looks a bit grey in the photos but it was actually quite nice

I really did intend to do something interesting or fancy with my hair and my only excuse is that I just forgot. Also I probably should have taken the cardigan off to show the long sleeves on this thing but I forgot about that too.

32. Champagne and Lemon

Today I took the plunge and wore my champagne coloured sequined dress which I love so much but have never had the guts to wear when it's not a wedding! It is from TK Max and was somewhere in the region of £20
I wore it with a thin pink jumper and Converse to tone it down a bit and make it look more like a skirt than a party dress. We went into town with mum and bought massive Chelsea buns which were extremely sugary and don't make for flattering photos.
This is the lemon presse I had at the cafe; I was presented with a glass of pure lemon juice, a pot of syrup and a bottle of water. Not quite sure if I did it right but I had all the syrup and only half the water, well, it was nice anyway.
I don't think this picture of Colette is going to go down well but if she insists on pulling stupid faces whenever I get out the camera then this is what happens!

Tonight I have Chocolate brownies and many episodes of 24 with Sunny and Colette to look forward to!

31. Shiny and City College

So the first week at City College has come to an end (finally) and Colette, Ani, Poppy and I spent a fun extended break exploring the buildings and finding all the courtyards and exits we didn't know were there.
I bought this dress on eBay a while ago for about a quid when I was a bit obsessed with sequins. To be fair it's really a top but it always gets lumped in with the dresses. I like it apart from the nasty racer-back straps.

(Note the funky identity badge we art students have to wear all day, every day. Not fun)
Also, sorry about the rubbish locations but being back in full time education means that the only time for photos is on the way to college or on the way back! Hopefully we'll go somewhere more interesting this weekend to showcase my two favourite dresses. . .

30. Knitted and Green and Red

Today is was the turn of an old knitted dress from Primark that mum bought me for a Christmas once and spruced up with a some red felt flowers and mother of pearl buttons round theneckline.
I love the pockets on this thing! They are such a useful shape, have been using them to cart around pens, paint brushes, roles of masking tape and a digital camera all day.

p.s. Colette and I discovered a select group of girls at City who are as obsessed by Harry Potter as we are! We spent a happy lunch break criticising all the films (literally, no deviation from the books was spared) comparing the stupidest bits and agreeing that Tom Felton looked better as Malfoy and without a tan.

29. Happy Pink

I know I am tall but seriously, New Look seem to design their dresses either for midgets or for girls who don't really care if they flash their arse. Either way, I tend to wear shorts with this one and lucky I did as it was still blowing a gale out there.
These were taken on our walk to City this morning on the Level which seems to be nicely tramp and drug addict free this time of the day.
Making another appearance is the Topshop jersey boyfriend blazer with nurses watch. Am a bit worried about wearing really nice clothes to City with all the charcoal/ink/paint floating around but I reckon I'll just have to not be so precious.
